The safety and security of our guests is our top priority. As part of our efforts to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, we have implemented a Security Checkpoint Policy for all guests who wish to enter the Faire grounds.
- All persons desiring entry are subject to additional random search of person.
- All persons, bags and other items may be subject to secondary screening/security checks on a case-by-case basis
- No Large bags are allowed on site, unless accompanied by a small child.
- The Faire reserves the absolute right not to allow any bag, parcel or other item to be brought into the Fairegrounds
- Shoes must be worn at all times.
What to Expect:
Please open all bags as you walk through the Ticket Scanning Area.
All Costume Weapons must be peace tied. Should peace tying or additional search be deemed necessary, guests will be directed to the tables ahead for secondary bag search/inspection before proceeding into faire.
What You Can Bring For Your Visit: Acceptable Food Items:
- One factory sealed water bottle per person or empty cup is permitted.
- Any food required for medical purposes and medically indicated nutritional supplements, or any food required for special dietary needs. You must be able to verify the medical items with a note from your physician.
- Baby food/baby formula
All other food items can be left in your vehicle. The festival has a standing policy allowing exit and re- entry. Do not forget to get your hand stamped as you exit to return to the festival. When guests have their hand stamped at the front gate and leave the Faire grounds, ALL water bottles and drinking vessels must be empty, or factory sealed for re-entry to the Faire grounds.
Prohibited Items:
If any prohibited items are found during a bag search, guests can return them to their vehicles. Otherwise, prohibited items will be confiscated & disposed of.
- Food and drink (see above for exceptions)
- Items that can be used as projectiles or weapons that are not part of your costume or cannot be peace-tied.
- Recreational devices such as drones & remote-controlled toys are prohibited.
- Selfie-sticks (hand-held extension poles for cameras and mobile devices) and large tripods are
- not allowed, except for commercial photography with prior written approval.
- Any non-period weapon or firearm. Period arms must comply with the Shire Weapons Policy.
- Prop and/or replica firearms capable of launching projectiles and/or making gunfire sounds are not permitted.
- Mace, pepper spray, tear gas, bear spray or any other capsaicin-based products or spray irritants.
- Outside Alcohol
- Glass containers (excluding baby food jars).
- Coolers (Except as needed for medical or baby needs)
- Clothing with offensive language or content
- Clothing that represents someone as emergency personnel. (i.e. STAFF. EMT, SECURITY, POLICE,etc.)
- Any item that in the opinion of an authorized representative of the festival site is offensive, illegal or poses a danger to public safety
- Due to the pathway configuration and terrain as well as large crowds, that include small children and strollers, we cannot permit the use of golf carts or two-wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicles, such as Segways on the festival grounds. Ravenwood Estates allows guests to bring mobility devices, including wheelchairs, scooters, walkers with seats, cane chairs, knee walkers. You can also reserve a scooter for use prior to coming to faire.
Lost or Stolen Items
The festival reserves the right to deny admission, prevent entry or require a person already admitted to leave the property without refund, liability or compensation, for failure to comply with any of these rules, for unsafe, illegal or offensive behavior, to ensure safety, security or order, or if we consider that the circumstances otherwise so require, in our sole and absolute discretion.
